Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

We have boats at two locations.

The Lake Austin departure location is at the Loop 360 Boat Ramp located at 5019 N Capital of Texas Highway in Austin. Please be advised that there is a $5 CASH ONLY entrance fee, regardless of if you’re parking or getting dropped off.

We highly recommend using our partner, Fetii for group ride share discounts please use our promo code “HAPPYHOUR”.

Can I rent the boat without a captain?

Unfortunately no, but our captains are all vetted and great so you can sit back and have fun.

Is there a minimum number of hours you must rent the boat for?

From April 15th to September 15th, and on Saturdays, we require a minimum booking of 4 hours. Outside of these dates and on weekdays, bookings can be for 3 hours, except for our 2-hour sunset cruises.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

• 11 or more days in advance – 100% refund

• 10 to 6 days – 50% refund

• 5 days or less – no refund

What is your rain policy?
All our boats are equipped with Bimini tops or have an upper deck for rain protection.

Weather-related charter cancellations are solely at the discretion of the Happy Hour Rentals Captain. Prorated refunds are issued based on when the captain decides it’s necessary to cancel. A weather forecast alone does not qualify for a refund or cancellation.

If you choose to cancel for other reasons, please refer to our cancellation policy.

Do you provide ice?

No, but we do have coolers on board and you can see locations to buy ice on this Google Map.

Is the captain tip included in the price?

No, but their tip can be prepaid while booking. The average tip is 20% but it can also be paid directly to the captain that day with cash, Venmo, or Zelle.

There is a mandatory 15% gratuity for igroups of 9 or less and 20% gratuity for groups 10 or more.

May I bring a pet onto the boat?

Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed on our boats, with the exception of working service animals. Unfortunately this does not include comfort or therapy animals. If you plan on brining a service animal please let us know so we can ensure that we properly prepare.
